Monocle Man Artist Of the Month Of Sept is Angela (madama.himmel)

Monocle Man's Artis of The Month of Sept is  Angela ( Madam . Himmel)

This is her Art Bio

Writing is my first canvas, the slow burn of thought igniting the page, the intimate friction between emotion and expression. My pen remembers. I live in prose, weaving fiction and reflection, often pairing words with images that echo their mood.

In Second Life, photography becomes more than capture, it is creation. Worlds bend, identities expand, and every frame transforms into a story. Free from weather, budget, or gravity, I craft images as fantasies, memories, and messages. Here, photography is not just Art. Here, Art is Freedom.

Angela is located in Shop 18 at the Monocle Man Art Gallery

☆✼★━ 🎉 Celebrating the Monocle Man Team! 🎉 ━★

🌟 Cheers to the Monocle Man Team!

Lynx, Luga, Willow, and Kit Boyd, your collaboration is second to none. A toast to the mystery-solvers, the strategists, the legends!

Lynx is owner of Monocle Man

Just one of his Viking photos reveals so much — the rugged life they led, the vast oceans they crossed, and the fearless spirit that drove them.

                                                                                                      Battle In The Snow

There’s something captivating in Lynx Luga’s photos — every landscape, every face, feels like a story waiting to be heard.

Sticks and stones

Sticks and Stones is truly colorful.

Facing The Storm

Waking the Kraken

The sky turns black, the sails grow tight,
The sea begins to snarl and bite.
A whisper rides the rising foam—
The kind that warns: Turn back, go home.

But onward still, through wind and wrack,
We tempt the deep, no turning back.
Each wave a roar, each gust a scream,
The world a fractured sailor’s dream.

To face this storm in moody seas
Is waking beasts we shouldn’t tease.
Like pirate tales where fate is cast,
We’ve stirred the Kraken up at last.

Its shadow swells beneath the keel,
A dread no man was meant to feel.
And now the storm, with writhing grace,
Becomes the monster’s cold embrace.

Willow’s Second Life Landscapes

Willow’s landscapes in Second Life,
Draw you back, erase all strife.
Each sim a world you want to roam,
A place that feels like coming home.

Truly wow, sights to see,
Visiting again feels like poetry.

hey that's mine

                                                                                       Heart of Scotland

Heart of Scotland

The heart of Scotland beats in Willow,
Echoes of her roots run deep and low.
Mist and mountains, ancient and bold,
Whisper stories her soul has told.

In every glen, in every stream,
She finds the thread of her old dream—
A homeland’s spirit, wild and free,
Living on in Willow’s memory.

The Wise Old Tree

A wise old tree, so strong and tall,
Holds stories sweet from long ago.
She knows just who was there and when,
The whispers of forgotten men.

Her branches tell of days gone by,
Of laughter, tears beneath the sky.
In every ring, a tale to share—
Of who she is, and who stood there.

wise old Tree

Kit Boyd, co-owner of Monocle Man, is a true artist in Second Life. Her seascapes and landscapes aren’t just visually stunning — they tell a story. Each scene she creates carries a quiet narrative, a sense of place and emotion that invites you to linger, to wonder, and to feel. Whether it’s a windswept shore or a tranquil countryside, Kit’s work whispers tales of time, memory, and imagination. There’s a gentle magic in the way she brings life to land and sea.

Kit's still life's are breathtaking! She has such a delicate eye for composition and a quiet magic in the way she captures light and texture. Every piece feels like a little story frozen in time, doesn't it? There's something almost meditative about her work — like she's inviting you to slow down and really see each object.

Advice from the ocean:

Be shore of yourself. Come out of your shell. Take time to coast. Avoid pier pressure. Sea life’s beauty. Don’t get so tide down on work that you miss out on life’s beautiful waves.
oh..... and watch out for the bubble blowing crabs ☺

She held the moon the way she held her own heart....
.... as if it was the only light that could guide her through

the darkest nights.

As Kit Held the Moon

As Kit held the moon for a moment in time,
the tide paused, listening.
A hush fell over sea and land,
as if the world remembered itself
through her eyes.

In the stillness of her landscapes,
stories bloom —
of weathered stones, forgotten docks,
a breeze that knows your name.

And just like that,
with brush or build,
she gives the moment back to us —
gently,
whole,
and glowing.

Lighthouse on The Shore...
I stand as a sentinel by day and night,

winking my eye to provide sailors light.

Huge waves hit my feet, yet I stay strong,

and I will remain on duty all year long

I love to feel the sea spray on my face,

and try to make the ocean a safer place

by warning the sailors of jagged rocks,

and guide them safely to local docks.

Part of Poem

~by Jan Allison

Kit Boyd’s Lighthouse
The wind hums hymns through salted air,
Light dances soft on water’s glare,
Her lighthouse stands where dreams behave—
Heaven in light, in wind, in wave.

A Heartfelt Thank You to the Monocle Man Team
This month, we celebrate the incredible talent behind Monocle Man. Each artist brings a unique voice—through still life's that hold a breath of time, seascapes that shimmer with emotion, and landscapes that tell quiet, powerful stories.

To Kit Boyd, whose lighthouses, winds, and waves feel like a piece of heaven.

To Willow, whose landscapes draw us back again and again, each one steeped in soul and story.

To Lynx, whose creative spirit and vision add depth, atmosphere, and a touch of magic to the world you’ve built.

From bold imagination to delicate detail, your work transforms spaces into experiences. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us—we’re endlessly inspired.

Here’s to you: the storytellers, the visionaries, the dreamers of Monocle Man.

Poem By Willow

Monocle Man Gallery
— A Home for Artists

Beneath the eaves where ivy clings,
Where windowpanes wear rainbow wings,
There stands a place both quiet and grand—
The Gallery kept by the Monocle Man.

Its doors don’t creak; they sigh hello,
To dreamers drifting soft and slow.
Inside, the walls don’t simply show—
They listen, hum, and gently glow.

A canvas here, a sketchbook there,
A poet’s whisper fills the air.
A dancer paints with silent feet,
While sculptors mold the heart’s heartbeat.

The Monocle Man, with hat and grace,
Moves through the rooms like time and space.
He doesn’t ask for polished fame—
Just truth, and love, and honest flame

He knows that art is not a race,
But something sacred, taking place.
A breath, a sigh, a spark, a start—
A home for hands that carry heart.

So if you’ve wandered, lost, apart,
With trembling lines or bursting art,
You’ll find your space, your thread, your clan—
Here, with the kindly Monocle Man.

Artist of the Month — кαѕнмєрє (cryptic.whisper)

Weaving shadows and light,
her art whispers stories
that linger in the soul.

I started taking pictures in Second Life many years ago. It started with scenery & has gradually moved to avatars. Currently I mostly take pictures of myself or a random friend here or there. I love the creativity in SL. We can express a lot through our avatars with the never ending possibilities & combinations. Although I feel I am still a beginner and still learning as I go, snapping pictures will be something I will always do as long as I'm in this intriguing world.

One of many breathtaking works by кαѕнмєяє (@cryptic.whisper) — her talent speaks through every detail. A true visionary artist."

what made you choice  your winning  photo
for the contest Well, I've always struggled with mermaid pics and this one was no different. I think we decided on it because he got tired of waiting for me to pick an angle.

what's your favorite part of of the sea -

As much as I hate fish, they amaze me in just how beautiful they can be.

who inspires you  in art - My mother, she was always different and stood out with her wild ways, but regardless of what people said she always stuck to what she felt was art.

photography is still a relatively new medium for me, but it’s become a way to express how I see the world through light, shadow, mood, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. I’m drawn to the subtle, the introspective, and the emotional undercurrents that images can capture without needing to say a word.

Right now, I’m in the process of finding my voice as an artist, and I’m enjoying the journey. It’s one of growth, experimentation, and deep inspiration, especially through the creative partnership I share with Airgaed. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to see where it leads.

Kit Boyd  is part Owner of Monocle Man

Her Art and Poems are Truly Amazing

             My Interview With Kit

who do you look up to in art what gives you the passion

 to crate art

Not Many People know this  About Kit she Loves to Build so many things

and crate Dresses i  have seen her make  . also little things she enjoys

to make

  Kit

oh wow...need to think about that...many people did. I went to some exhibits and also joined flickr, which was a revalation...many artists on hand and inspiration all over.  Sonic was the one to give me the most tips on flickr and helped me with many problems I encountered.... I do love Burleh's , Venicio Armin's and Olympe Rhode's work and many more :)

My first experience were still life. Which I still love.... but in the years I tried a lot :)

what makes you  write your poems

: A picture can say a thousand words without a poem.... though writing some lines , some simple words or a longer poem,  releases your soul and mind... and helps others to 'see the picture' like you want them to see :)  maybe even let them feel, what I feel at that moment :)

 they are so beautiful.

and  with your quotes the same

yes. Sometimes picture comes first or even other times I feel a quote or read one...and make a picture to accompany it :)

how long have you been here at Monocle Man  how many years

oh my.... a long time...don't really know the right time. But many years have gone by...As many builds and themes :)

with crating a build like monocle man  an how many years you been here what is your most favorite gallery here

at this moment or past builds?

give me  both please  give me  both please

We went through a lot of builds...but always steam punk/vintage related, which I always loved even besides Monocle Man.  I just love characterful buildings that give every visitor a wow feeling....  but how much you build or create.... it's the people that are visiting that make it real and interesting.  A great place to meet people is a gallery ...this last one we have now is amazing...though I also love the old industrials from early years.

what would you say is your most favorite type of photo style you like to do That is easy....Still life :)

I'm happy creations have progressed a lot in sl and every little object is getting better and better. Now with the PBR textures it almost looks real :)

how do you like working in a team what makes a good team work here at Monocle Man

smiles... a team as the words say...working as a team... completing each other and also have own ideas to bring  to the table...to discuss or to argue... change things for the best...but never change each other....As we are all individuals who work best with motivation.

of your best photos   in Oder i picked 2

she gave me 3 as one is a nude i  wont post it

one  Of Kits Landscapes

for the mutuality exhibits   you crated the trophy  what made you choose them.

and for the new concept do you plan keeping the trophy's

smiles... trophies were created to give people something else to remember this exhibits, besides money...something to keep, to remember and hold on to.  Yes I will try to keep that up....although depends on how things progress with the new concept.

congrats on winning the di Vinci art exit

what made you chose your photo

smiles... thank you very much. No one really knew that I won, because it wasn't advertised.... not necessary but thank you for remembering me :))  I just looked at the Da Vinci's that are around and made my own version of it :)

i like to thank you for your time an photos you crate with passion with your lovely poems   an quotes . is there a poem you like to add and why

 :smiles...I'll think about that :)

he meadow picture...love nature and the way nature renews every season.

They offer a glimpse into the lives of sailors, explorers, and pirates, revealing the mysteries of the ocean. Whether you're a history buff, a ship enthusiast, or just curious about the maritime world, these museums have something for everyone. A ship's wheel, also known as the helm, is a steering mechanism used to control the direction of a ship or boat. It's a large, typically circular wheel connected to the rudder via a system of cables or gears, allowing the helmsman to steer the vessel. Modern ships may use remote controls or other systems to operate the rudder, but the wheel remains a symbol of maritime tradition.

The RMS Titanic, a British luxury passenger liner, sank on its maiden voyage after hitting an iceberg on April 14, 1912. The ship, built by Harland and Wolff in Belfast, Ireland, and operated by White Star Line, was designed to be "practically unsinkable" due to watertight compartments. However, the collision ruptured these compartments, leading to the ship's sinking.

Edward John Smith RD RNR was a British sea captain and naval officer. In 1880, he joined the White Star Line as an officer, beginning a long career in the British Merchant Navy. Smith went on to serve as the master of numerous White Star Line vessels.

Smith served as captain of the ocean liner Titanic, and perished along with 1,510 others when she sank on her maiden voyage.

Nov 12, 2020 — No one knows exactly where Captain E.J. Smith was at 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 1912. But witnesses said he appeared on the bridge of the .. Titanic.

Piracy, the act of attacking and looting ships, has a long and varied history, dating back to ancient times. The "Golden Age of Piracy," from roughly 1650 to 1730, saw the rise of infamous pirates like Black beard and a surge in piracy in the Caribbean. Pirates, often from diverse backgrounds, were drawn to the promise of adventure, wealth, and a chance to escape societal constraints.

                              。☆✼★━Gold on ships  found   ━★✼☆

Several sunken ships have been discovered in recent years, including those carrying substantial amounts of gold. For example, a Spanish galleon, San José, is estimated to have been carrying over $20 billion worth of gold, silver, and gems when it sank. Another notable find was the Bom Jesus, a Portuguese vessel that sank in the Namibian desert and was found to contain thousands of gold coins and copper ingots.
Long-Lost Ship Found in the Desert Laden With Gold ...
Here's a more detailed look at some of the gold-laden shipwrecks:
Spanish Galleon San José:

Sank in 1708 during a battle with British warships.

Estimated to have carried 200 tons of gold, silver, and uncut gemstones.
Estimates of the ship's treasure range from a few billion dollars to over $20 billion.

One ship drives east and other drives west by the same winds that blow. It's the set of the sails and not the gales that determines the way they go.

A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder. If my ship sails from sight, it doesn't mean my journey ends, it simply means the river bends. The evolution of fish bones, specifically bony skeletons, started around 460 million years ago

with jaw less fish like Astraspis, where bone formed on top of existing cartilage. Later, bony fish (Osteichthyes) emerged in the late Silurian, around 419 million years ago, and are characterized by having a bony skeleton instead of cartilage. These bony fish eventually diversified and led to the evolution of other vertebrate features like limbs.

Over time, they evolved, with organizations like the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) playing a key role in standardizing their use and design

The Ocean
By Nathaniel Hawthorne
The Ocean has its silent caves,
Deep, quiet, and alone;
Though there be fury on the waves,
Beneath them there is none.

The awful spirits of the deep
Hold their communion there;
And there are those for whom we weep,
The young, the bright, the fair.

Calmly the wearied seamen rest
Beneath their own blue sea.
The ocean solitude are blest,
For there is purity.

The earth has guilt, the earth has care,
Unquiet are its graves;
But peaceful sleep is ever there,
Beneath the dark blue waves.
